Through our Design-Build solution, your company benefits from the services provided by one project coordinator. This project coordinator is readily available to answer questions and to work closely with your team, helping to maximize functionality while minimizing cost. Throughout the process, our Cambridge Companies coordinator will work with your team to keep the project on-budget and help your team make any necessary adjustments.

Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings

In order to get you the best pricing and schedule, Cambridge has purchasing relationships with three different metal building manufacturers; Nucor, Vulcan Steel Structures, Inc., and Chief Buildings.

Utilizing this method, we can ensure our clients get the best building, for the best price, at the best schedule and we don’t have our hands tied by being limited to just one option.

Our Commercial  Construction design-build process provides cost-effective, timely building solutions to companies and municipalities nationwide. Cambridge Companies streamlines and simplifies the building process by coordinating all details of your project.

Through Cambridge Companies’ design-build solution, your company or municipality benefits from the services provided by a project team.  Our team are readily-available to answer questions and to work closely with you, helping maximize functionality while minimizing cost and keeping the project on-budget.

1. Feasibility/Scoping

During the feasibility/scoping phase, we review the current state of your project and generate a project mission statement, solutions, budgets and schedules. The ideas and concepts are accepted and signed off on prior to beginning any design work.

2. Design & Permitting

Based upon agreed deadlines, we begin working on drawings that meet the needs of each facility. Bid/Permit drawings are completed first, followed by construction drawings. We also handle procurement of any necessary state, town, or city permits during construction.

3. Procurement

Once the designs have been approved and permits have been acquired, we begin to bid out the job to local subcontractors. Cambridge supplies four (4) bids per trade with any necessary suggestions, to help reduce change orders during construction and the owner can choose the subcontractors they would like to hire.

4. Construction

After all permits are secured and subcontractors chosen, we begin construction. The key items we focus on throughout construction at the job site include safety, quality, ample communication with all parties, keeping the project under budget and on-time, and ensuring the owner is satisfied with the end product.

5. Close-Out

The Close Out Phase includes supplying owners with a short punch-list including any necessary plans to complete them as seen fit, as-built drawings and warranty book delivered to customers, and completing a project recap report summarizing the estimated budget, timeframe to the actual budget and timeframe.

6. Follow Up

Cambridge believes in guaranteeing the quality of our work. Six (6) months after construction has been completed, our team will follow up to discuss the end product. The Cambridge team also completes two (2)  facility walk-throughs post-construction.
