Crossroads Community Church Design-Build
Schererville, Indiana
Project Overview
Cambridge helped to design-build a new facility as they outgrew the school auditorium. As an active member of the church, Cambridge worked with them to develop many plans and budgets along the way to find something that worked with their fundraising capabilities. The first phase was a 32,000 SF multi-purpose religious facility that could be rented out for various functions to help raise additional capital throughout the year.
Some features of the first phase were:
- 12,000 SF multi-purpose room or “Sanctuary”
- Large narthex/gathering area with a coffee bar and library.
- Two (2) floors of offices, nurseries, and classrooms encompass about half the building.
- Large restrooms on both floors.
- Other various rooms
The master plan allowed the Sanctuary, the narthex, classrooms, and parking to be doubled in size.
