Cambridge design-built a 40 Tons Per Hour Dual Stream MRF in Florida. The project consisted of a combination of building materials. The three (3) story office and employee support building were constructed out of a pre-cast shell with a steel roof system covered by an Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (“EPDM”) rubber roof. The remainder of the building consisted of a pre-engineered steel building with a standing seam roof with pre-cast walls up part way and siding above. We utilized translucent wall panels as well as skylights to accomplish natural lighting. The eave heights on the PEMB were 40’ in most areas other than the loading dock which was 22’. The site consisted of heavy-duty paving, landscaping, storm water controls and lighting. This project was design-build as well as LEED Certified.
