Cambridge provided construction management services for the Medley RNG Facility, an 8,000-SCFM methane refinery housed in a 28,360 SF PEMB at the Medley Landfill complex. The project was executed within a tight site footprint with minimal space for material laydown, equipment staging, and construction operations. A 2-acre laydown yard at an adjacent property and 1/4-mile access road were constructed to connect the yard to the site due to very tight site constraints. Additionally, the project required the importation and placement of 43,000 CY of imported structural fill to create the project land area on an existing lake/pond after de-mucking the pond of approximately 5,000 CY of silted organic matter. Construction included 94 tons of structural steel for process pipe racks, more than 16,000 feet of carbon-steel and stainless-steel gas piping, and the installation of four miles of gas pipeline to be split-delivered into the Florida City Gas (FCG) pipeline, with one 8” HP line running directly to the Miami Airport located four miles from the project site.
