Cambridge provided construction management services for the Okeechobee RNG Facility that captures landfill gas and upgrades it to pipeline-quality RNG for distribution through the Florida Southeast Connection (FSC) system. The 6,000-SCFM plant is housed in a 20,740 SF pre-manufactured metal building and includes approximately 70 tons of structural steel for pipe rack systems, more than 14,000 feet of gas piping, and 5.2 miles of pipeline connecting the facility to the FSC mainline. The project also required major utility infrastructure, including a new electrical substation and service line installed by FPL to support plant operations. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce approximately 1.5 million MMBtu of RNG annually—enough to power up to 37,000 average U.S. households.
